Gallery Urs Reichlin's Accrochage - "HUMAN - NATURE - PLAY"
Galerie Urs Reichlin AG, Zug
We show you the best contemporary art!
We wish you a happy, healthy and art-filled new year.
Under the motto "PEOPLE - NATURE - PLAY", we are now presenting three wonderful artists from the gallery.
PASCAL MURER:
The Belles de jour, the Danseues and the Baigneueses by Pascal Murer appear to us calm and floating - free, poetic works that retain their connection to classical heritage. Fragmentary, they tell of origin and vision, of the dignity of man, of blossoming and fading at the same time, freed from gravity and time. The standing, the reclining, the day, the night, the rhythm of life. Man in harmony with nature, as part of the greater whole.
The artist also sees his sculptures, mostly made of wood or bronze, as a spatial continuation of his graphic work. The interplay of flowing movement and transparency. The light, fragile becomes the supporting force. T. Pascal Murer's works are about man, nature and the flow of existence.
HIROYUKI MASUYAMA:
studied classical oil and mural painting in Japan and received a DAAD scholarship to the Düsseldorf Art Academy in 1995. He has lived in Germany ever since. He then studied media art in Cologne and devoted himself entirely to modern photography.
As a time traveler, Hiroyuki Masuyama follows in the footsteps of Caspar David Friedrich, William Turner and Caspar Wolff, among others. Just as the painters of the 18th and 19th centuries created their pictures from countless studies of nature, the digital artist of the 21st century composes his landscapes from 300 to 500 photographs each. This results in backlit works (LED lightboxes) that are astonishingly similar to their models and yet sensitively explore the changes over the course of time.
ETIENNE KRÄHENBÜHL:
His floating, almost delicate-looking metal objects dominate the room. With scientific and technical meticulousness, the internationally sought-after Swiss artist creates unique installations from solid metal that impress with their dynamism, appear weightless and appeal to all senses of perception. By incorporating the exhibition space, the concept of sound and characterful forms and surfaces takes on even greater significance. The chosen material with its natural corrosion, the play of heaviness and lightness as well as the gravitational-magical dynamics are for him a metaphor and reflection of all being.
