Swimmers swim 300 meters in the direction of the current. There are 4 age categories (from 10 years) as well as a team/family category and a race with air mattresses, which are provided.

The Lindli Schwümme in the Rhine in Schaffhausen is a traditional swimming competition where the emphasis is on having fun. The first event is documented in the media in 1910. Since then, the organization has changed hands. In 2019, the Schaffhausen Water Sports Association took over this task.
