On 13.9.2025, Innertkirchen celebrates Alpabfahrt with a market, music, children's program and the arrival of the cows from Alp Gental & Engstlen. Live music and dancing in the marquee in the evening.

On Saturday, September 13, 2025, it's that time again: the traditional Alpabfahrt will be celebrated in Innertkirchen with an atmospheric village festival. From 9 am, market stalls, a varied festival restaurant and musical entertainment in the marquee invite you to enjoy.
At around 12.30 pm, the decorated cows arrive in the village from Alp Gental and parade through the streets with their herdsmen. At 13.30, the cows depart from Alp Engstlen.
For the younger guests there is once again a separate procession: the meeting point is at 12 noon at the church in Innertkirchen. The return transport from the Urbachtal is organized. Children are welcome to take part in traditional costume, with a Kühermutz or Edelweiss shirt.
The evening continues with live music and a good atmosphere in the marquee. Various bands provide entertainment throughout the evening - and from 8 p.m. it's time to dance, sing along and celebrate.
