Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the ‘Vacation in architectural monument’ foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.

Extras: The floors are made of wood and stone, which is why we recommend good slippers. The historic house has not been fitted with a soundproof ceiling. It is possible that the guest party in the other flat may be heard. There is a road behind the house.

The Schlossgut Münchenwiler is a historic house, a listed building. Although it is technically equipped to modern standards, we would like to point out that certain functional details such as window and door openers, stair handrails and step heights do not comply with current standards and may be a potential source of danger.
