The Christmas market by the lake in Brunnen is a beautiful and contemplative Christmas market on the lakeside promenade and in the village center. The atmosphere by the lake makes the market something unique.

It's Friday evening, the first weekend of Advent, the day the Christmas magic begins. Suddenly I am hit by a fragrant aroma. "Mhhmm, sweet honey! Ohhh, oven-fresh gingerbread! Aaah, roasted almonds! Of course, I know that smell from my childhood!" Old memories come flooding back. The aroma lures me into a side street. The pretty little market houses at the side of the road show me the way to the Brunnen Christmas market. The atmosphere by the lake with the many lights reflected in the water of Lake Lucerne makes the market something unique.
